Developer Team Notes #13

Hey there, Smashers!

This is Hongyoung Joo, Executive Producer of SMASH LEGENDS.

With this update, I would like to share a few important announcements with you.

Madam Lettuce’s 4th Smashversary Skin Release

First, we understand that many of you were disappointed that only “Gumi” received a skin for the 4th Smashversary.

We deeply empathized with that sentiment and, as a team, we came together to find a way to better meet the expectations of our Smashers.

Among the most requested skins was Madam Lettuce’s 4th Smashversary skin. Even though circumstances weren’t easy, there was a strong shared desire within the team to make it happen.

And we’re happy to say that it’s finally here with this update.

We hope this new skin lives up to your expectations, and we truly appreciate your continued support!

Rereleased Skin Fashion Summon & New Quest Event

In the previous 4th Smashversary event,

we ran a Fashion Summon event (hereafter referred to as the “Rereleased Fashion Summon”) featuring special skins from the past,

along with an event where players could earn Fashion Summon Tickets by completing quests.

However, some of the quests required players to own specific Legends,

which made it difficult for some players to participate.

This issue was the result of shortcomings in our quest design.

We fully acknowledge and take responsibility for the oversight, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The Rereleased Fashion Summon will return with the same lineup as before,

but we’re improving the quest event,

based on your feedback.

The improved version will launch with the next update on July 1.

This time, the quest conditions have been adjusted so that all players can participate, regardless of which Legends they own.

We hope this makes the event more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

We especially hope this will serve as a better opportunity for those who were unable to take part in the previous event.

New Leveling System: Fame

With this update, we’re introducing “Fame,” a new leveling system.

This system was designed for Smashers who already own all the Legends obtainable from Library Road and have reached the limits of the existing leveling system. It aims to offer a new sense of challenge and achievement.

Rather than providing immediate convenience or short-term fun, the Fame system represents a structural shift aimed at ensuring long-term service stability and sustainable content development.

We fully understand that changes of this nature may not be welcomed by all Smashers.

While the Fame system may open the door to new possibilities, we also recognize that it may feel unfamiliar or even unsatisfying to some.

That’s why, ahead of this system’s implementation, “Enchantment Ticket (All)” will be distributed as a token of our appreciation for your time and dedication to SMASH LEGENDS.

The rewards will be distributed based on the amount of “Legend Coins” you currently own.

Since Legend Coins will be automatically converted into Fame Points once the system goes live, we wanted to make sure your prior contributions are recognized before the conversion takes effect.

More details on how the rewards will be calculated can be found in the patch notes for this update.

Please note that while the Fame system includes a rank structure, it currently does not offer any rewards tied to rank.

However, we do plan to introduce appropriate rewards in the future that reflect those ranks.

This may take some time, as it depends on our team’s development conditions, so we kindly ask for your understanding as we’re unable to provide a specific timeline at this stage.

Conclusion

As always, the SMASH LEGENDS team is committed to carefully considering the perspectives of our Smashers whenever we introduce new systems or make structural adjustments. Rather than aiming for abrupt changes, we will continue focusing on sustainable fun and a flexible leveling system.

We’ll do our best to bring you even better news in the next Developer Team Notes.

Thank you.
