9/10(Tue) Balance Update Notes

[Buffs]
[Ali]

- Ali is a Legend who can rush down opponents using his swift Ultimate and daggers. His Ultimate is powerful when things go as planned, but things don’t always go according to plan.
- We want Ali to deal more damage when retrieving his daggers from further distances, allowing for more versatile uses of his Ultimate.
Ultimate

[Open! Sesame!]
- Gauge charge required for Ultimate decreased by approximately 5%.
- (New) Ali’s daggers will deal increasing damage the longer they are in motion, dealing 300 / 350 / 400 damage respectively.
[Master Cat]

- To allow Master Cat to perform better on Dominion Points, we are making it easier to maintain stacks. Additionally, the Ultimate’s range will be slightly increased to make it easier to deal with multiple opponents.
Ultimate

[Feline Arts: Butterfly]
- Stack duration increased to 10 s.
- Max stack duration increased to 10 s.
- Ultimate range increased by approximately 13%.
Ability

[Swift Steps]
- Movement Speed buff when Ultimate is available increased. (8 / 9 / 10 / 11 / 12)% → (17 / 19 / 21 / 23 / 25)%
[Ravi]

- Ravi must be the Legend who makes the best use of the “Victorious Ecstasy” Rune. However, Ravi has been somewhat weak when not given the opportunity to shine. Therefore, we are adjusting his Ultimate so it can be used more frequently, increasing the reward for landing it, and reducing the risks when missing it.
Ultimate
[Grim Dawn]
- Gauge charge required for Ultimate decreased by approximately 11%.
[Victor]

- Effectively using Victor’s Frankontainer can be challenging. Successfully detonating it after a long build-up should yield significant rewards.
- We are increasing Victor’s detonation damage and making chain detonations easier.
Skill
[Frankontainer Transmission]
- Victor’s Frankontainer Transmission detonation damage increased. 700 → 800
- When Victor detonates two or more Frankontainer Transmissions, they will now detonate more quickly.
- (New) Victor can now trigger chain detonations before the Frankontainer turns into Transmissions.
[Nerf]
[Briar]

- Briar excels in causing chaos. Since joining SMASH LEGENDS, Briar has consistently been strong, being quite the nightmare for players.
- We are reducing the knockback of some of her attacks to make the game a bit less chaotic.
Skill
[Thorn Wheel]
- Knockback slightly reduced.
- Knockback decreased when popping nightmares.
Ultimate
[Cozy Nightmare]
- Gauge charge required for Ultimate increased by approximately 7%.
[Octavia]

- With the recent addition of Runes and Spells, the game’s tempo has slowed down compared to before. With Octavia’s healing output, some games felt like they went on all day.
- We are reducing Octavia’s sustainability with her Ultimate while making it more suitable for aggressive play.
Ultimate
[Healing Aria]
- Healing decreased. 950 → 700
- Gauge charge required for Ultimate increased by approximately 5%.
- Ultimate knockback slightly increased.
Ability

[Ocean’s Blessing]
- Knockback amount adjusted to be the same as when Ability is not equipped.
[Pinocchio]

- Pinocchio is a Legend with various traits, but only really stands out for his Ultimate’s utility.
- We considered various ways to reduce his reliance on his Ultimate, and we believe this approach is currently the best option.
Ultimate

[O Sole Mio]
- Ultimate duration increased. 9 s → 10 s
- While Ultimate is active, Ultimate gauge charge gained from hitting opponents reduced by 50%.
[Kaiser]

- Vanguard Legends have been rather sturdy in recent games.
- Making Kaiser less sturdy… would go against the principle of him being a Tank, so we looked at other avenues of bringing him more in line.
Skill
[Punching Machine]
- [Ground]
- Knockback slightly reduced.
Ultimate
[Heavenly Body]
- Gauge charge required for Ultimate increased by approximately 7%.
[Adjust]
[Common]






- Adjusted the knockback direction of some Legends’ Getup Attacks to be more natural.
- Legends: Cindy, Gumi, Jack O’, Molly, Victor, Wolfgang
[Javert]

- Adjusted some of Javert’s awkward movements.
Basic Attack
- Slightly reduced the frequency of attacks going to unintended directions during consecutive Ground Attacks.
- Adjusted so that Javert does not float up again during consecutive Aerial Attacks.
Skill

[Trickery]
- Will no longer attack while sliding sideways.
