SMASH LEGENDS — Rules of Conduct
Rules governing in-game behavior and certain out-of-game conduct relating to the use of SMASH LEGENDS.
Effective Date [15th of 03, 2022]
1. Introduction
These Rules of Conduct govern both in-game behavior and certain out-of-game conduct relating to player use of SMASH LEGENDS (the “Game”) provided by 5minlab Corp. (the “Company”). They regulate necessary user behavior consistently and supplement the Terms of Service. Matters not specifically mentioned shall be treated in accordance with the Terms of Service and laws of the relevant jurisdiction.
2. Changes to Rules of Conduct
The Company reserves the right to change these Rules of Conduct at its sole discretion. If the Company changes them, it will notify the effective date, revised contents and reasons for revision at least 7 days before the effective date through the Company homepage. Serious or unfavorable changes will be notified 30 days in advance. If a user fails to comply with revised Rules of Conduct, the Company is not responsible for losses incurred due to the user’s lack of awareness.
3. Duties and Responsibilities of 5minlab
- The Company will endeavor to eradicate misconduct described in these Rules so users can enjoy playing the Game.
- The Company will not ask for your password and will do its best to protect and manage personal information. Personal information may be provided to government or judicial authorities through lawful procedures.
- The Company receives reports of bugs and errors through its official customer support center and community, and will promptly review and correct them.
- The Company will not intervene in normal activities or disputes between end users related to the Game.
- The Company may restrict some or all game services if unusual or unintended situations hinder enjoyment of gameplay.
- If a user or group interferes with Company services or violates these Rules, the Company may restrict service usage according to the Penalty Criteria for Misconduct.
4. End User’s Responsibilities and Rights
- You must understand and comply with the Company’s Terms of Service and Rules of Conduct.
- The Company reserves all rights to in-game data (characters, items, game currency, etc.) created while using the service, and you have a limited license to use it consistent with the Terms of Service.
- If you are unfairly treated or harmed, you may appeal and request correction through legitimate procedures. If another customer harms you, you may notify the Company and request application of these Rules.
- You must be fully informed about officially announced information; the Company is not responsible for damages caused by lack of awareness.
- You may not generate profit using the Game without prior Company approval.
- You may not copy, duplicate, modify, translate, publish or otherwise provide Game information to others without prior consent.
- You may be liable for distributing false information not officially announced by the Company in a way likely to confuse other users.
- You must notify the Company of glitches such as bugs, system errors and illegal programs. You must not exploit or propagate them; doing so without reporting them may be treated as intentional misconduct.

5. Policy on Misconduct
All users must comply with the following rules to provide a fair and pleasant gaming experience.
1) Do Not Use Unauthorized Programs or Hardware Devices
Using unauthorized programs or hardware devices that promote unfair gameplay may result in strong penalties, including a permanent game ban and restrictions on using the service on the relevant hardware. Developing, advertising, trading or distributing unauthorized programs or hardware may also result in legal action.
2) Do Not Modify the Game Client, Servers or Game Data
Unauthorized changes to the Game client (including “ini” file modification), servers or data such as packets interfere with game services and violate copyright laws.
3) Do Not Exploit Vulnerabilities in the Game
Exploiting errors and bugs may result in serious penalties, and acquired game currency and items may be removed. Distributing methods for exploiting bugs or systems is also subject to penalties.
4) Do Not Use Inappropriate Nicknames
Offensive nicknames or those that may provoke negative imagery violate these Rules.
- A sexually explicit or obscene nickname
- A nickname intended to impersonate the Company or its staff
- A discriminatory nickname
- A nickname that may infringe a third party’s trademark or copyright
- A nickname that is sensitive or causes offense for another reason
Changing a few letters or mixing characters to construct a cleverly inappropriate nickname may result in immediate change of the nickname and/or penalties.
5) Do Not Use Inappropriate Language
Profanity, insults, verbal abuse and conduct offensive to other users or likely to generate negative perceptions are subject to penalties.
- Use of profanity or offensive slang
- Sexually harassing expressions or behavior
- Belittling, mocking or criticizing specific regions, religions, races or individuals with disabilities
- Threatening expressions or behavior intended to cause fear
- Causing discomfort or aversion through expressions prohibited by the Terms of Service
Do not flood chats. Posting excessive content or repeatedly posting the same content in a chat window may restrict use of the system.
6) Do Not Attempt Cash Transactions
Attempting or advertising account transactions, or pursuing cash or in-kind transactions through a nickname or user-created game mode name, is subject to penalties.
7) Do Not Promote or Advertise
Promoting or advertising content unrelated to the Game or Company, including using the service for profit, sales, advertising or promotion, is subject to penalties.
8) Do Not Publish Personal Information
Publishing information that personally identifies another person, including disclosing it to third parties or making it publicly available, violates privacy and may result in penalties.
9) Do Not Manipulate Gameplay Results
Manipulating game results through additional accounts or unfair exchanges for cash, goods or services may result in strong penalties and removal of acquired in-game items.
10) Do Not Steal Another User’s Account
Attempting or gaining access to another user’s account may result in a ban and/or restrictions on account access.
11) Do Not Trade or Sell Accounts
Accessing accounts not in your possession and trading or selling the accounts or their game data without written Company approval is prohibited.
12) Do Not Disturb Business Operations
Spreading false information, abusing customer service, impersonating an employee, or creating and spreading rumors may result in a permanent ban depending on severity.
13) Do Not Play the Game Abnormally
If abnormal gameplay patterns impossible to perform in the Game are detected, measures may be taken against the relevant account to maintain a fair environment.
14) Other Undefined Misconduct
Actions not defined here that negatively impact Company services or other players may be subject to warnings and penalties after careful review.
6. Penalty Criteria for Misconduct
- The Penalty Criteria protect users’ enjoyment while playing the Game.
- Failure to comply may result in service restrictions without prior notice.
- A violation beyond the final attempt listed below may result in a permanent ban.
- An ID listed in ranked mode may be temporarily or permanently removed from the rankings.

- Exploiting bugs and glitches includes acquiring game currency or virtual items through system vulnerabilities and may result in strong penalties, including a permanent ban.
- The Company may impose a more or less severe penalty, including legal action, depending on the seriousness of the misconduct.
- The Company may restrict users from running the Game if misconduct is found from a specific hardware device.
- Game currency, items and other character-related data obtained through misconduct may be removed; in serious cases, all character data may be deleted.
7. Recovery Policy
We are unable to recover losses that arise from not following these Rules, in-game notices, homepage notices, policies or game systems.
8. Gem Operation Policy
Gem is an in-game currency used to purchase items serviced by the Company. Purchasing Gem provides a license to use it for in-game purchases; Gem has no monetary value, cannot be transferred to other users and cannot be redeemed for currency.
- “Paid Gem” is Gem purchased with real-world currency or included in a bundle. Users may cancel the purchase under paragraph 7.
- “Bonus Gem and Credit” are obtained through in-game events or missions and are not purchased with real-world currency. They are non-refundable and cannot be canceled.
- Gem top-up is available through third-party payment providers in units set by the Company.
- Users can purchase items within their available Gem balance, which is deducted immediately.
- Paid Gem is valid for one year from the purchase date.
- Bonus Gem and Credit is valid for one year in principle, subject to change at the Company’s discretion.
- Paid Gem cancellation follows the Terms of Service refund policy. Products purchased with paid or bonus Gem may be canceled within 14 days if unused, though consumer protection laws and the following circumstances may limit cancellation: an account ban for serious violations, a non-refundable purchase condition, or Gem awarded as an event reward.
- Forging, falsifying, stealing, illegally obtaining or using Gem is subject to penalties.
This Rules of Conduct has been translated for player convenience. In case of discrepancies, the English version prevails; however, the Korean Rules of Conduct prevail for Korean players.
