12/17(Tue) Balance Update Notes

  • In this update, the HP of Legends that affected gameplay in which Base HP was intended has been adjusted.
  • Rather than aligning Legends strictly with their assigned roles, the focus was on determining the intended gameplay for each Legend and whether their current HP aligned with that intent. This approach aims to clearly highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each Legend.
  • If the changes in this update made an excessive impact on any specific Legend, we will closely monitor the situation and address it in a future update as needed.

[Aoi]

  • Aoi has been struggling in recent matches due to her low HP, which doesn’t align well with her powerful strikes and ensuing significant vulnerabilities. To help Aoi better embody the power of the Oni, her Base HP is increased.

[Marina]

  • Marina is designed to quickly enter the Dominion Point, push opponents back, and hold her ground firmly. However, her current HP makes it challenging to fully perform this role. To enable Marina to shine in the Dominion map, her Base HP is increased.

[Nerf]

[Cindy]

  • Cindy has been performing exceptionally well thanks to her strong mobility, but she exhibits excessively high beefiness when using certain Abilities. To ensure she can fulfill her role without imbalance, her Base HP is slightly reduced.

  • Base HP decreased. 4500 → 4400

[Gumi]

  • Gumi had higher HP compared to other Legends in the same role, as she needs to approach targets after applying ranged pressure to deliver her Decisive Blow. However, her HP seems slightly high given her overall power. 
  • To preserve Gumi’s potential to deliver maximum impact while making her slightly more vulnerable to counterattacks when exposed, her Base HP is slightly reduced.

[Javert]

  • Javert has relatively high HP to compensate for the need to stay in close range due to his short attack range. However, his high mobility and safe engagement through skill use mitigate this risk. Therefore, his HP will be slightly reduced to encourage more cautious and strategic engagements that align with his intended playstyle.

[Robin]

  • Robin’s nimble pressuring abilities will be preserved, but his Base HP is reduced to make him more vulnerable when exposed to enemy attacks.

[Master Cat]

  • Master Cat’s skills, featuring long range and short cooldowns, allow for flexible use in both engaging and disengaging, making him highly adaptable in various situations. To balance his versatility, his Base HP is reduced as an appropriate penalty.

[Molly]

  • When Molly enters her Ultimate Defensive Stance, she fears nothing. While the benefits of a successful defense will remain intact, her Base HP is reduced to make her more vulnerable to counterattacks when her defense fails.

[Woochi]

  • Woochi, with her exceptional engagement abilities and high potential, continues to perform impressively even after the recent patch.
  • Woochi’s base HP is slightly reduced, and the knockback and stun time inflicted on targets hit by her Ultimate will be decreased to tone down her overall power.

Ultimate

[Luan] 

  • Stun time and knockback against opponents hit by the second Ultimate are decreased by approximately 20%.

[YongYong]

  • YongYong has been demonstrating the relentless majesty of a dragon since the recent changes. However, since it hasn’t been in the spotlight for long, we plan to continue observing it. 
  • The previous HP value was intended to compensate for YongYong’s significant vulnerabilities, so some level of adjustment seems necessary.

[Adjust]

[Zeppetta]

  • This ambitious scientist has successfully secured enough time and funding!
  • Zeppetta’s ability, “All Preparations Are Set!”, is being revamped with a new name. The ability now adds a stun effect to the heavy hammer, enabling a wider variety of strategic options. Though it seems Zeppetta might not have planned for this outcome.
  • However, storing the massive hammer comes at the cost of some durability. As a result, Zeppetta’s HP is slightly reduced.

    • Increases Movement Speed by 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 % for 1.2 s after using Ultimate.
  • After
    • Targets hit by the hammer of an enhanced Basic Attack are stunned for 0.7 / 0.8 / 0.9 / 1 / 1.1 s.

[Enchantment Changes]

  • With the return of the Legend Level, a max level Legend now has 30% more max HP than before the update. While enchantments that scale with max HP maintain the same efficiency as before, enchantments with fixed values have seen a relative decrease in effectiveness. To address this imbalance, we buffed the values accordingly.

  • After
    • When not striking an opponent for 4 s or successfully inflicting stun/transform/freeze, a beam fires down on the next attack that deals 300 AoE damage to a small area. (Cooldown: 2 s)
    • Level 8 Effect: Increases Beam’s damage by 150.
